Timber Falls

Haley Martin returned to Timber Falls after her wife’s death and built a life running the local bar and grill. The mountain village offers familiarity, with summers shaped by tourists arriving for the river’s demanding rapids. A brutal murder disrupts that rhythm and brings Carter, a former Los Angeles detective now working with an unconventional FBI team, into town. Carter is trying to recover her professional footing while pursuing a killer who appears to be targeting visitors. Meeting Haley creates an unexpected possibility of connection in the middle of the investigation. Both women have reasons to be cautious about what comes next. As danger unsettles a place Haley knows well, the case forces Carter to confront whether a new beginning can include more than returning to useful work.
