Editorial Standards & Corrections

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Sappho's Arc is an independent publication dedicated to discovering, celebrating and thoughtfully covering sapphic entertainment.

We believe good entertainment coverage should be useful, informed, inclusive and full of personality.

Accuracy and Research

We aim to verify factual claims using reliable sources, including official announcements, publisher information, interviews, credited productions and original statements.

Where information is incomplete or disputed, we aim to distinguish confirmed facts from reports, interpretations and speculation.

We do not knowingly invent quotations, sources, credits, relationships or biographical information.

Reviews and Opinions

Our reviews, rankings and recommendations reflect editorial judgment.

We welcome strong opinions, enthusiasm and criticism, while distinguishing subjective assessments from factual claims.

Representation and Identity

We aim to describe LGBTQ+ identities accurately and respectfully.

We do not assume a performer's sexuality or private relationships based on fictional roles, promotional partnerships, fan speculation or public appearances.

Where identity is relevant, we prioritize individuals' own public statements.

Spoilers and Content Warnings

We aim to identify significant spoilers and protect major endings where practical.

Content warnings are included when reliable information is available. Missing warnings should not be interpreted as confirmation that potentially sensitive content is absent.

AI-Assisted Editorial Work

Sappho's Arc uses AI-assisted tools for tasks such as research organization, drafting, metadata enrichment and editorial workflows.

Published material remains subject to human editorial oversight.

AI-generated suggestions are not treated as verified evidence, and we aim to review consequential factual claims before publication.

Commercial Independence

Sponsored content and paid promotional placements will be identified.

Advertising or affiliate relationships do not automatically determine editorial recommendations.

Corrections

We welcome factual corrections.

If we identify a material error, we aim to correct it promptly. Significant corrections may be accompanied by an editorial note explaining the change.

For correction requests, contact info@carsonhousepublishing.com and include the relevant page, disputed information and supporting evidence.
