Hell's Highway
2011
Ross and Sullivan · Book 2
The story
Cameron Ross and Andrea Sullivan found each other while investigating murders in Sedona. Now both FBI agents, they face another case in the stark terrain of California’s Mojave Desert. Women’s bodies are being abandoned along remote highways, and the landscape itself makes evidence difficult to locate and preserve. Heat, distance, and deceptive roads complicate every decision as the agents try to identify the killer. Their established relationship brings its own form of trust to the investigation, but love does not make dangerous work less demanding. Each must rely on the other’s judgment while confronting the limits of what they can control. Far from the place where their connection began, Cameron and Andrea test the strength of their commitment against a case that offers little room for error.
