Amy Chambers needs her restaurant to survive, and hiring Sophie Brunet seemed like a promising answer. A talented chef with reality-television experience, Sophie brings both skill and the possibility of attention to a business that badly needs it. Working together proves less straightforward. Amy wants control, Sophie wants room to cook, and neither is especially prepared to address the attraction growing between them. For Sophie, who has only recently understood her queerness, those feelings arrive amid plenty of other questions.
