A Family Affair

Ten years into their marriage, Kate and Kevin are struggling with the disappointment of an unsuccessful path to parenthood. While their home is remodeled, they stay with Kevin's mother, bringing Kate into closer contact with his sister, Stella. Preparing for an important audition, Stella initially seems an unlikely source of comfort for her sister-in-law. Yet time together changes the relationship between the women, making room for confidences, attraction, and a connection that crosses an uncomfortable boundary. Their feelings cannot be separated from the family around them or the marriage already under strain. This contemporary romance follows an unexpected attachment whose possibilities are inseparable from the difficult choices and consequences that accompany it.
