Forgotten Gods

BETWEEN THE COVERS

The story

Nirrim lives in the Ward, where people of her low status are denied the privileges and pleasures available to the powerful High Kith. Survival depends on obedience, restraint and accepting that the rules will not be explained. Then Sid, a traveler with money and a talent for disruption, suggests that the city's magic might be within Nirrim's reach. Their attraction opens a door to experiences she has been taught not to want, but following Sid means questioning both the city's hierarchy and her own understanding of herself. As secrets gather around the promise of a different life, Nirrim must decide what to trust and what she is prepared to risk for freedom.
