Ordinary Love

Emily's comfortable Manhattan life looks secure from the outside, but her marriage is strained and an old heartbreak has never quite loosened its grip. Seeing her high-school girlfriend at a party brings that earlier self abruptly back. Gen Hall is now an Olympic athlete whose public success bears little resemblance to the teenager Emily knew. Their attraction survives the years, along with the hurt and unanswered questions that ended their relationship. Reconnecting means confronting more than nostalgia: Emily has children, a carefully maintained life and choices that affect other people. Ordinary Love follows two women testing whether a first love can become a future without pretending the intervening years never happened.
