Otherbound

Whenever Nolan closes his eyes, he experiences the life of Amara, a servant in another world who is responsible for protecting a fugitive princess. The connection interrupts his own life in Arizona, where the people around him understand his episodes very differently. For Amara, survival already demands constant vigilance in a world of magic and danger. Discovering that Nolan can do more than watch—that he can interfere with her body—makes their strange bond a violation as well as a mystery. Neither can solve it alone. Their alternating viewpoints turn a fantastical connection into a struggle over autonomy, trust and responsibility. Amara’s attachment to Cilla belongs to her own life, even as Nolan’s presence threatens to change its course.
