A Spindle Splintered

Zinnia Gray reaches her twenty-first birthday knowing that the rare illness caused by an industrial accident may leave her little time. Her best friend, Charm, arranges a Sleeping Beauty celebration with a tower and a spinning wheel, turning a lifelong fascination into a birthday gesture. When Zinnia pricks her finger, the fairy tale becomes unexpectedly real: she falls into another world and meets a princess facing a fate of her own. Their encounter opens possibilities neither was meant to have. This fantasy novella reworks the familiar story through illness, friendship and resistance, asking what happens when women refuse to accept the endings already written for them.
