Nothing Heals Me Like You Do

Justine Blackburn has devoted herself to the Rainbow Shelter and the homeless queer young people it supports. When her life becomes the subject of a film, that public recognition also places intimate parts of her past in other people's hands. Sienna Bright, the actress playing Justine's former lover, draws her attention in ways that go well beyond the production. Their attraction brings together two women whose daily lives seem far apart, while old hurt makes the prospect of closeness difficult for Justine. This contemporary romance explores the personal complications of seeing one's story retold, as a connection formed around the past offers a possibility that neither woman can reduce to a role.
