Casey has a successful London gallery career and a wedding to plan, yet she still thinks about Holly, the woman she met in Berlin eleven years earlier. In Melbourne, Holly is equally unable to forget their brief connection. Her photography ambitions have stalled, her relationship feels unrewarding, and family worries leave little room to imagine another life. They once promised that, if they lost touch, they would return to the same Berlin park on the same August evening. It was a romantic idea with very little practical planning behind it. Years later, separate changes in their circumstances give both women a reason to reconsider that promise—and whether the feelings they remember could survive a reunion in the present.
