Make Room for Love

After Isabel intervenes during a confrontation with Mira’s ex-boyfriend, she offers Mira somewhere safe to stay. The arrangement should make starting over easier. Instead, Mira finds herself unexpectedly attracted to her butch electrician roommate, a feeling that unsettles her understanding of her sexuality. Isabel is carrying grief of her own and tries to maintain distance. When Mira needs help with a workplace union election, Isabel’s experience gives them another reason to spend time together. Shared meals and small acts of care slowly change the atmosphere at home. For Mira, a trans woman discovering she is bisexual, the possibility of love comes with difficult questions about trust and independence.
