In the Long Run

Taylor Vandenberg built her life around leaving Faircombe, Tennessee, and seeing the world. Returning to spend time with her sister and niece brings her back into the orbit of Brooke Watson, her brother’s best friend. Brooke has invested herself in the town Taylor escaped and has little patience for someone she considers irresponsible, however attractive she may be. Taylor, meanwhile, enjoys getting a reaction from her. When circumstances bring them together, their familiar disagreements begin to reveal more than either expects. Between Brooke’s commitment to putting down roots and Taylor’s attachment to freedom, they must discover whether their very different ideas of a good life can make space for each other.
