Cuffing Season

Maeve Murphy returns to Kingsford after her mother’s unexpected death, intending to help her father keep the family business running. She has little enthusiasm for the holiday season and even less for rebuilding the social life she left behind a decade earlier. Bianca Rossi, whose father works as the chef at Murph’s, loves the town and approaches its people with an openness Maeve does not share. Her attempts to befriend Maeve repeatedly meet resistance. Working in the same orbit makes complete avoidance difficult, though, and the season brings more opportunities for connection than Maeve planned. Their developing relationship pairs a reluctant homecoming with the possibility of finding comfort in someone entirely unexpected.
