After too many disappointing dates with men, Dakota widens her dating-app preferences at her friends' suggestion. The change introduces her to Jack, an NYPD detective who is clear about wanting something casual. Dakota agrees, expecting a brief encounter rather than a new direction for her life. Their chemistry makes that boundary difficult to maintain, and repeated meetings begin to carry an emotional weight neither anticipated.
