Edie in Between

A year after her mother’s death, Edie is still living with grief—and with a family connection to the dead that is far more literal than most people would believe. She wants distance from the magical traditions her grandmother accepts, but her mother’s journal draws her toward the past. Following its traces becomes a way to meet the girl her mother once was and to reconsider the inheritance Edie has resisted. A developing connection with Rhia, who works at an occult shop, offers another reason to look beyond isolation.
