Chasing a Brighter Blue

Photojournalist Reagan Bryant returns from Afghanistan carrying the aftermath of a traumatic assignment. A family wedding in Colorado offers two weeks away from her usual life and the hope of finding some peace. The resort belongs to the family of her future sister-in-law, making its comforts difficult to separate from the gathering’s expectations. Shelby Sutton has learned to question the motives of women drawn toward her father’s wealth. At her sister’s request, however, she agrees to befriend Reagan, whose unhappiness is hard to overlook. Their time together begins within a crowded Christmas celebration, while both women carry private reasons to hold back. As acquaintance becomes closeness, they must decide whether trust can offer something neither expected from the wedding.
