Marcey Daniels receives a book after the death of Charlie Mock, an art thief whose legacy is anything but straightforward. What seems at first like an unusual inheritance draws her into competing claims on something other people badly want. Interpol investigator Wei Tope has spent years pursuing Charlie, while Kat Barber expected a different outcome from her mentor’s death. For Kat, the missing book may offer a route out of obligations she cannot easily escape.
