Short of money, Kayleigh accepts work moderating content for a social media company she is forbidden to name. Her days are spent judging disturbing images, hateful messages and conspiracy theories against rules that keep changing. The job also brings friendship and a girlfriend, making it possible to imagine that things are finally improving. Yet the material passing across the moderators' screens does not remain neatly confined to working hours.
