All This Could Be Different

A corporate job in Milwaukee gives Sneha a foothold after college and a way to help her parents in India. For a while, the salary seems to make independence possible: she can support friends, build new connections and begin dating women. Her growing attraction to Marina, a dancer who remains difficult to reach, complicates that sense of control. Employment troubles, insecure housing and painful secrets expose how fragile her new life really is. Around her, friends search for ways to live with greater care and solidarity. Sneha’s effort to find a home becomes inseparable from questions about money, vulnerability, community and the difficulty of letting other people truly know her.
