The Vanishing Act

CeCe Stewart has organized her life around a demanding career in Washington, DC, leaving little room for risk that cannot be managed. Reports of a hijacked plane crashing in the Adirondacks disrupt that certainty, especially when the hijacker vanishes and rumors of hidden treasure spread. CeCe travels north to investigate and meets Blake Zeller, an adventurer whose instincts and knowledge of the mountains are unlike her own. Their uneasy partnership leads toward an old murder and an attraction CeCe did not come looking for. The search challenges her habits, but returning to her established life presents a different test. She must consider whether the success she has pursued still defines the future she wants.
