Requiem for Immortals

Natalya Tsvetnenko moves between two carefully controlled professions. As a cellist, she performs for wealthy audiences; as the assassin known as Requiem, she kills within Australia's criminal underworld. Discipline allows her to keep those lives functioning without sentiment interfering. A new commission disrupts that certainty when the woman she is hired to murder appears to have done nothing that could explain the contract. Investigating her target draws Natalya into an attachment she cannot easily reconcile with the task. The resulting conflict threatens the identity she has built around control and distance. This romantic thriller follows an assassin confronting the possibility that a person marked for death may matter more to her than the rules that have governed her survival.
