Forged in Deception

Lucia Rossi makes her living creating convincing lies on canvas. Gifted and emotionally open, the art forger carries responsibilities that weigh far beyond her work. Museum curator Penelope Blackwell approaches art from the other direction: controlled, exacting, and determined to expose the truth. When a stolen masterpiece brings their lives together, professional opposition becomes entangled with personal fascination. Penelope’s unusual relationship with color and Lucia’s intuitive artistry offer different ways of seeing, but neither can easily read the other. Past betrayals, revenge, and divided loyalties complicate a connection neither woman can neatly contain. In a world built on appearances, deciding whom to trust may demand more than recognizing a beautiful forgery.
