The Spanish Pearl

A trip to Spain with her partner takes Kate Vincent much further from home than she expects. Thrown back to the year 1085, she finds that the everyday skills and comforts of her own century offer little help in medieval life. Getting home becomes her overriding goal, but survival comes first. Captured by mercenary soldiers, Kate is drawn into the conflict between Catholic rulers and the Moors, moving through dangerous courts and places of confinement. Then a sword-wielding woman with a remarkable secret changes the meaning of her journey. Kate's determination to return now competes with feelings for someone in the past, leaving her caught between two relationships and two very different possible lives.
