Isle of Broken Years

Catalina de Valasco's family has a clear idea of the future suitable for a Spanish noblewoman: an advantageous marriage. Repeated setbacks have frustrated those plans, but a voyage to the Americas should finally bring Catalina to her intended husband. Instead, pirates seize the galleon and hold her for ransom. The dangers of captivity become only the beginning as the ship enters waters later known as the Bermuda Triangle. Catalina is carried into experiences far beyond the boundaries of the life her parents imagined for her. Facing a world she cannot predict or control, she encounters both terrifying uncertainty and an unexpected chance at love, which may change what returning to that planned future would mean.
