The Raven and the Banshee

As young women in the early eighteenth century, Julia Farrow and Branna Kelly imagine lives that will not be confined by other people's expectations. Julia is the outspoken daughter of a shipping magnate; Branna is a sailor's daughter who loves her. A painful rejection separates them, and a pirate attack leaves Branna presumed dead before Julia can explain. Fifteen years later, Julia runs her family's company and travels aboard its ships. When another encounter at sea leaves her in danger, rescue comes from the infamous captain of the Banshee. The face beneath that hardened reputation belongs to her past. Their reunion brings old wounds into a world of vengeance, piracy and uncertain second chances.
