A Little Light Mischief

Molly Wilkins has resolved to leave theft and trouble behind her and settle into respectable work as a lady's maid. Her employer's companion, Alice Stapleton, makes another sort of restraint difficult. Alice is equally distracted by Molly, whose sharp wit and guarded past offer far more interest than the quiet life she is supposed to be living. Their curiosity develops into attraction, but a house party brings an unwelcome reminder of Alice's own history. Molly may have sworn off her old methods, yet they could be exactly what Alice needs. Helping her means deciding which rules deserve to be kept and whether their growing connection is worth a little calculated trouble.
