The Drowning Summer
2022
The story
Six years after a supernatural intervention helped clear Evelyn’s father of murder, the consequences of that night still connect her to Mina. Their friendship fractured, and Mina’s family connection to the spirit world makes revisiting the past especially dangerous. When another summoning goes wrong, the girls must work together despite everything left unresolved between them. Their investigation leads back toward the deaths that unsettled their town and toward forces neither fully understands. Growing feelings complicate a reunion already burdened by blame and secrecy. To discover what really happened, Evelyn and Mina will have to confront the choices that separated them and the possibility that the dead still have unfinished business.
