Maren wants a quiet future with Kaia in the mountain country where they grew up. The empire interrupts that plan when its prophetic agents take Kaia away to join their ranks. Determined to rescue her girlfriend, Maren decides she needs a dragon powerful enough to reach the agents’ stronghold.
