Now She is Witch

Lux has lost her family, her lover, and her home when Else finds her in the woods. Suspicion follows women like Lux, but she has learned to use other people's assumptions to survive. Her knowledge of poisons makes her useful to Else, who wants revenge against a powerful man. Their journey north brings them into contact with dangerous people and secrets that complicate the purpose of their alliance. Set in a harsh medieval world shaped by fear and superstition, the novel examines how women seek protection and power, what desire can cost, and how easily someone threatened by violence can become entangled in its repetition.
