Mrs. Martin's Incomparable Adventure

At seventy-three, wealthy widow Bertrice Martin has little interest in indulging her nephew or the expectations of unpleasant men. Violetta Beauchamps, sixty-nine and considerably more proper, arrives with a problem: that same nephew is making life miserable at her rooming house. Bertrice is not moved to rescue him from consequences. She is, however, increasingly interested in the woman asking for help. Their alliance turns a shared grievance into an opportunity for mischief, adventure and a very late refusal to behave as others expect. As the two women work together, the pleasure of making a terrible man uncomfortable starts competing with the more surprising pleasure of falling for each other.
