Meddling Kids

The Blyton Summer Detective Club once solved mysteries with the confidence only children possess. Their final case at Sleepy Lake ended with a culprit unmasked, but adulthood has made that tidy explanation harder to believe. Andy is tired of running from the memories and wants the old team back together. Kerri has retreated into drinking, Nate lives in a psychiatric institution, and their former leader Peter is dead—though that has not stopped Nate from speaking to him. Returning to the scene means facing what they remember, what they have forgotten, and what may still be waiting there. With Kerri’s dog Tim along for the reunion, the former detectives take on a mystery that a costume and a confession cannot explain.
