As I Descended

Maria Lyon and Lily Boiten can see a future together beyond Acheron Academy. The scholarship that would make it possible, however, seems destined for Delilah Dufrey, their school’s celebrated star. Unwilling to surrender their plans, Maria and Lily turn to the sinister forces rumored to inhabit the former plantation where their academy stands. What begins as an attempt to change the balance of power soon escapes their control. Rivalry becomes deadly, and the girls can no longer be certain where ambition ends and supernatural influence begins. This contemporary reworking of Macbeth places a young couple’s hopes inside a haunted boarding school, where securing tomorrow may destroy everything they value today.
