Kill the Farm Boy

A farm boy has been told he is the Chosen One, but the land of Pell refuses to follow the usual rules of a heroic quest. His journey toward a sleeping princess draws together a talking goat, a formidable warrior, a bard under an inconvenient curse and a collection of other ill-suited adventurers. Dark magic shares space with petty anxieties, questionable plans and a great deal of trouble that destiny has not prepared anyone to handle. Among the travelling companions, Fia and Argabella discover a connection that matters beyond the absurdity around them. This opening Tales of Pell novel turns familiar fantasy roles inside out while following an unlikely group through a kingdom where every grand expectation is vulnerable to interruption.
