Inheritance

Reese and David have changed in ways that connect them to a world most people do not know exists. Their new abilities and the conspiracies surrounding them make ordinary decisions about trust increasingly dangerous. Reese is also torn between her bond with David and her feelings for Amber, whose place in her life complicates questions of loyalty and belonging. As the consequences of earlier events widen, keeping the truth private may no longer be possible. This sequel to Adaptation follows young people deciding what to reveal, whom to believe, and how much of themselves they can protect when powerful interests want control over the story of what happened to them.
