Indigo: Law

Bridget has kept her sexuality private because she believes an openly lesbian candidate would struggle to become sheriff in her conservative hometown. The career she wants has required a life carefully divided between public duty and personal truth. A severe accident involving farm machinery disrupts that arrangement, leaving her dependent on help she is unused to accepting. Calling Eli brings her back into contact with people she has held at a distance, along with the possibility of a new relationship. As Bridget recovers, she must consider whether returning to her old life is enough, or whether survival has given her a reason to stop hiding essential parts of it.
