Forever Burn

James is used to answering emergencies as a firefighter. The demands of her private life are harder to manage. Her partner wants a commitment that would end the secrecy surrounding their relationship, while James is troubled by recurring dreams about a girl she rescued from a fire. The pressures do not stay neatly separated: uncertainty at home follows her into a working life already shaped by danger and responsibility. As the dreams persist, James must face questions she has been avoiding about the rescue and about herself. Her ability to protect other people offers little guidance when the difficult choices concern the woman she loves and the life they might share.
