Hunter's Revenge

A seemingly isolated killing becomes intensely personal for Detective Tori Hunter when the victim’s home yields hundreds of photographs of her. More disturbing still is a weapon connected to the murder of her family decades earlier. The discovery offers a possible answer to the loss that has shaped her life, but it also creates a conflict of interest that removes her from the official investigation. Tori refuses to let the trail disappear. With support from her wife Sam Kennedy, partner Casey O’Connor, and an FBI hacker, she searches for the truth outside her usual authority. The pursuit forces her to confront the difference between solving a crime and satisfying an old need for revenge. After years of living with unanswered questions, she may finally be close enough to find out what knowing will demand.
