Heavy Vinyl Vol. 1: Riot on the Radio

Chris has landed a dream teenage job at Vinyl Mayhem, a New Jersey record store where the music matters and her coworkers seem impossibly cool. It is 1998, and learning the shop's routines is complicated by her crush on Maggie. Then a singer the staff loves vanishes before a local performance, revealing that the store has another purpose Chris knew nothing about. Her colleagues are involved in a vigilante fight club, and sorting records is only part of their working lives. This graphic novel brings first attraction, music fandom and action together as Chris discovers that fitting into a new workplace may mean entering a much stranger kind of community.
