Abbott

Detroit in 1972 is a difficult place for a reporter determined to question the people in power. Elena Abbott follows stories the police would rather leave alone, refusing to accept that a series of brutal crimes should go unexplained. What she discovers points beyond ordinary corruption toward the occult forces that once destroyed her family. Investigating them means returning to a loss she has never put behind her, while confronting the racism and sexism shaping her daily work. Elena's search for answers becomes both a public pursuit of truth and a personal reckoning with an enemy she recognizes. This collected graphic novel follows her investigation through five originally serialized issues.
