Always Human

In a future where people routinely change their appearances and abilities through technological modifications, Sunati notices Austen because she seems to choose not to use them. That first impression is wrong: Austen's immune system prevents her from accessing the same technology. Learning this changes Sunati's assumptions, but not her attraction, and the two begin dating. Their relationship develops through ordinary pleasures and difficult conversations, shaped by friends, family and the different ways they experience their world. This science-fiction graphic romance follows the work of getting to know someone beyond an appealing first impression. For both women, intimacy means learning when to offer support and when to listen instead of assuming.
