Goldie Vance Vol. 3

A major motor race brings new excitement to Goldie Vance’s world, along with an investigation that demands an uncomfortable alliance. Her rival Sugar Maple needs help after sabotage threatens the competition, and Goldie has to look beyond their usual antagonism to work out what is happening. The case places her among drivers, rivalries and the pressures surrounding the race, where determination to win can conceal other motives. Goldie’s confidence as a detective is tested by the need to cooperate with someone she does not naturally trust. This third volume builds its mystery around that uneasy partnership, asking her to distinguish personal resentment from the evidence in front of her.
