Jojo Emerson-Boyd grew up racing go-karts and watching her mother compete in Formula 1. After her mother’s death, however, her father refuses to let Jojo pursue the racing career she wants. Working in her grandmother’s garage keeps her close to engines without answering what comes next. Eliana Blum has a different reason to enter that world: she is looking for her missing sister Maxine, a motocross racer. Jojo and El’s paths converge through that search, bringing attraction into lives already unsettled by grief and uncertainty. As they grow closer, both must reckon with family ties and ambitions that refuse to fit the futures other people have imagined for them.
