Fable for the End of the World
2025
The story
Inesa survives alongside her brother in a half-submerged town, where debt gives a corporation power over almost every aspect of life. Her mother's secret borrowing makes Inesa the next sacrifice in a televised hunt. Melinoë, the assassin sent after her, has been altered and conditioned into a weapon, but a previous failure has left cracks in that carefully manufactured identity. Across a ruined landscape, hunter and target begin questioning the system that has assigned them their roles. Their growing connection threatens more than the outcome of the spectacle. This standalone dystopian romance follows two young women confronting what survival demands when the world has made their humanity expendable.
