Just Like That

Syrah Ardani has returned to her family’s Napa Valley winery hoping for a life rooted in familiar land. Discovering that her father’s mismanagement has put the business into receivership threatens that security. Corporate specialist Toni Blanchard arrives with a formidable reputation and creditors demanding results, making her an easy person for Syrah to resent. Toni has reasons of her own to leave Manhattan behind, but she intends to keep personal feelings separate from her work. Their arguments over the vineyard’s future soon carry an attraction neither welcomes. In this sapphic reimagining of Pride and Prejudice, first impressions harden into obstacles as two women confront the difference between protecting what matters and refusing to see another possibility.
