Elysium Girls

For nearly ten years, Elysium, Oklahoma, has lived under the terms of a wager between Life and Death. When the appointed time comes, its people must prove their worth or face destruction. Seventeen-year-old Sal Wilkinson is expected to help lead the town through its final preparations, until an accident involving a mysterious newcomer named Asa sends them both into exile. Beyond Elysium lies the Desert of Dust and Steel, where they encounter a group of girls led by a witch the town believes dead. With the deadline approaching, Sal must look beyond the rules she has been taught and consider whether the only way to save her home is to change the game.
