Coffeeshop in an Alternate Universe

Brenda has a detailed plan for changing the world through science, but an internet outage threatens the scholarship application that could help her begin. Looking for a connection, she enters a coffee shop and meets Kat, whose confidence and interest in Brenda immediately stand out. Kat is equally drawn to someone who sees her as a person rather than a prophesied saviour. There is one substantial obstacle to their attraction: the girls come from different universes. Even arranging another meeting requires finding a portal. As the boundary between their worlds becomes increasingly unstable, Brenda's determination to save the future collides with Kat's wish to escape the destiny already assigned to her.
