Dark Wings Descending

Detective Rafe Douglas is recovering from serious injuries when a serial murderer begins leaving strangely arranged bodies across Chicago. Leading the Deviant Data Unit's investigation already tests her uncertain sense of stability. Private investigator Ashley Scott adds an explanation that Rafe finds difficult to accept: the threat may not be human. Ashley can see supernatural forces escaping into the city, and she believes the killings are part of that breach. Persuading Rafe to work with her becomes essential to understanding the evidence. As the two women confront increasingly disturbing crimes, their partnership forces them beyond familiar explanations, into a danger where trusting each other's perceptions may be the only way to uncover the truth.
