Balance of Forces: Toujours Ici

Kendal Richoux has lived since the reign of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh, her immortality granted through an elixir and bound to service as the Genesis Clan's slayer. Centuries of experience have taught her to avoid attachments to people whose lives cannot last alongside hers. Returning to New Orleans brings an old obligation into focus: she must confront her brother Henri and the vampire who drew him into darkness. Piper Marmande sees Kendal's arrival differently, suspecting a threat to her family's company. Determined to uncover the newcomer's intentions, Piper keeps pressing closer. Her investigation complicates a mission Kendal cannot afford to neglect and an emotional distance she has long considered necessary.
