Where Echoes Die

After her mother’s death, Beck Birsching struggles to move beyond memories of the life they once shared. A letter apparently written by her mother directs her toward Backravel, Arizona, a town connected to the reporter’s final investigation. Beck and her sister Riley travel there looking for answers, only to encounter unsettling gaps in the residents’ memories and a community organized around a mysterious treatment center. Beck’s growing connection with Avery, the town leader’s daughter, complicates her attempt to understand what is happening. As the place exerts its own pull, investigating her mother’s past becomes a threat to Beck’s sense of the present. Grief, first love and family bonds shape the sisters’ search.
